Arts For All is excited to announce that through our Audience Project, sponsored by Play On! Studios, we will be providing opportunities for several students to see professional theatre productions.
- 8th grade students will be attending a performance of Suffs at the Music Box Theatre in November.
- 4th grade students will be attending a performance of Aladdin at New Amsterdam Theatre in December.
- Arts For All is working with artist Jaime Benavides to tour performances of Juan Sombrero in the City of the Future to partner schools for students in grades K-2. Jaime is a Spanish researcher, clown and theatrical improviser, working as an urban environment health researcher at Columbia University. Juan Sombrero in the City of the Future, is a bilingual (Spanish/English) clown show for young audiences, helping children to learn ways to build a healthy city in the face of our changing climate.
Arts For All’s Audience Project brings a free professional theater production to under-served kids in the NYC area. Previous productions include The Emperor’s New Clothes, Pinocchio!, Pig Pen Theatre’s The Mountain Song, and Mélissa Smith’s The Magician’s Assistant and BLAST OFF! Astronaut Training Residency, as well as field trips to Broadway shows such as The Music Man.
Thank you to Play On! Studios for their support in making these events happen for the children of New York City!
