ANNA ROBERTS OSTROFF, Executive Director and President
Anna holds a BFA in Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied Musical Theater, and where she minored in Applied Theater and Psychology. Anna has many professional theatrical credits from all over the country. She has also been part of two professional children’s theatre tours including, American Family Theatre’s Ellis Island, and ArtsPower National Touring Company’s production of The Rainbow Fish. Anna has also acted as a Producer on multiple theatrical productions. In the past, Anna worked as a teaching artist for many organizations, including the Children’s Theatre of Annapolis in Maryland, where she taught musical theatre audition workshops, D.A.R.E. America, through their D.A.R.E. P.L.U.S after school program, and has acted as a camp counselor for Camp Broadway (now known as Curtain Up) at the Renaissance Charter School in Queens. While in college, Anna did multiple arts outreach programs through her club, Community Connections. Community Connections, which transitioned into Arts for All Inc., won the President’s Service Award at NYU two years in a row. As Executive Director and President of Arts for All, Anna looks forward to continuing to spread the arts to in-need youth communities.
ALAN OSTROFF, Director and Treasurer
Alan has a BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where he studied musical theater, experimental theater, and classical theater. Alan started as a teaching artist with Arts for All, leading theater games and Shakespeare workshops. After years of teaching experience, he currently is on the Board of Directors, serving as Treasurer, and heads up the Programming Committee. Alan is also the playwright-in-residence for Arts for All - he is the author of last year's touring production The Tall Tales of Enoch. He has performed in many professional productions, as well as starring in a full-length comedy he wrote, Tradition, which debuted in the 2005 NYC International Fringe Festival. Alan debuted as a director with the drama Social Work, in the 2007 Manhattan Repertory Summerfest. He toured twice in children’s shows, a musical entitled Ellis Island: Gateway to a Dream, and a show based on the popular children's book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. Alan also works as a Project Manager with AllianceBernstein Investments.
BARBARA LOSONCY, Director and Secretary
Barbara holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts and a Concentration in Law and Society from Cornell University. While there she held various roles, including actor, director, Secretary, and General Manager, with Gateway Theatre, a student-run theatre organization. In the past she has taught dance and theatre to children. In her professional career, Barbara has worked at The Vanguard Group and Proxicom, Inc., and is currently a Project and Program manager with Capgemini, a leading global technology consulting firm with more than 70,000 employees. She has managed technology projects for clients in the telecommunications, government, and financial services sectors.
Barbara is an active member of the SCENE Community group, Capgemini's community outreach team. She has served twice as a Loaned Executive, supporting fundraising efforts for the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania. Barbara has been a volunteer and later also an Advisory Board member for Arts for All since it was Community Connections at NYU. Barbara also serves on the board of the DonauSchule, a not-for-profit language school.
LENA MOY-BORGEN, Director
Lena is happy to be a part of Arts for All as a Director of the Board, after working as a teaching artist for many years and as assistant to the Executive Director from 2006-2007. Lena also heads up the Arts for All Marketing Committee and serves on the Fundraising Committee. Lena started as an assistant teacher at the Piedmont Children's Theatre in 1997. Since then, she has gone on to work in both CA and NY, running her own programs at the Bank Street Summer Camp, UC Berkeley Cal Youth and Outdoor Program, and Arts for All, Inc. Her original programs include Literacy Through the Arts at PS 15 (an Arts for All, Inc. program) and Create Your Own Musical at the Bank Street Summer Camp. She has taught classes in drama, music, dance, playwriting and self-defense. She also incorporates simple visual arts in many of her classes. She has a BFA in Drama from the Experimental Theater Wing at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. She is the programming coordinator for Jaradoa Theater.
